Update
I'll understand if ya'll don't read this, I just feel the need to be cathartic and update those who care to know. Life has been hectic to say the least. School started 2 weeks ago and I already feel like I'm swimming upstream. I have to do good this semester, and the pressure is starting to make me moody. If Joe sticks around till the end of the semester, I'll know I've found the one for me. I got lucky last semester with butt easy profs/classes, but I only got one really easy class this semester. The other 3 are sure to be difficult to say the least...
I guess this next update is actually a blessing and a worry all at the same time. I have yet to be able to find a job, which sucks because Joe and I NEED to save up @ least $10,000 BEFORE we move to AZ so that we can do all the sh*t that needs to be done when you move out of state and not have to worry about it. Neither of us has furniture, so all that (save for the bed, dresser, and desk) will have to be purchased, utilities turned on, cell phones switched into our names, cars registered, insurance switched into our names, and apartment procured. Oh yea, and we both need to find jobs so we're not living paycheck to paycheck. Joe's brother says he can probably get us jobs at his company, but we have to get out there first. Luckily, I'll be getting $2,675 in Pell Grants in about a month, and save for a few minor (new printer, jeans, etc), but necessary, purchases, the bulk of that money is going into our savings. Once Joe gets caught up on his bills, we'll be able to save most of his paycheck, so hopefully we'll be out of here some time this summer or early fall. The only blessing in this is I'm able to devote more time to doing well in my classes.
I wish this next update would be a little more cheerful, but alas, it is not. If I wasn't under enough stress already, my parents will probably lose their house. Basically, when they went through an "attorney" to re-modify their mortgage they screwed themselves out of actually being able to get help that they could use. Basically what happened was they got their monthly mortgage payment lowered for a specified amount of time (no more than a year, I think). Once that time is up, their mortgage payment will return to what it was before the loan re-modification, which my parents simply can't afford (They put my dad on furlough's and they are cutting back on OT). So they went to the mortgage company on their own and tried to get it permanently lowered, but the mortgage company refuses to do anything until the time is up on the original re-modification. Unfortunately, its a several month process, in which time they could technically force my parents into foreclosure.
The only thing that is going horribly well right now is my relationship with Joe. We've been together for almost 8 months now, and he makes me blissfully happy, which is a lot more than I can say for previous relationships. He treats me like a lady in every sense of the word, and I can't believe how unbelievably lucky I am to have found him. As I mentioned earlier, we're working on moving to Arizona together, and I couldn't feel more secure about that decision. I know we'll be good together, I can already feel it =)
Well, that's all I've got for now. I hope ya'll have been behaving =)

Bring on 2010!
As 2009 comes to a close, its time to look back and be thankful for the many blessings we have. A roof over our heads, food in our stomachs, clothes on our back, family who love us whether they want to or not, and friends that stick closer than glue.

I need some help
I'd like to change the background on my website (lizheartshakespeare.com) to something more wintery (I've got a few things in mind), but I can't find any wordpress themes to go along with that idea, at least not free ones. Is anyone experienced in wordpress or css enough to where they can help me chan...ge the theme? I would give you credit on my page and link to your website. Please rec this so I can get the word out =)
